Ashford Designer Outlet
This is Ashford Designer Outlet’s first extension since the centre opened in 2000 and it adds an additional 50 shops - plus restaurants, 725 extra car parking space, a new events space and children’s play area and more links to the town centre. The addition of Europe's largest living wall creates one of the UK’s most unique flagship designer outlets.
The new scheme was designed by Chapman Taylor, who along with ALD and Biotecture, helped to implement the living wall cladding system and retail environment. ALD have also been involved in production of the wider landscape masterplan, improving connections from the outlet to the wider community including the train station and town centre so as many people can benefit from the scheme as feasible.
The completed project proves to create a successful and truly unique shopping experience for the user, with the green wall offering a sense of tranquillity to the scheme - reflecting the centre’s location in Kent, the Garden of England.
