Granary Square, Kings Cross Central
Granary Square forms a large multi-use public space and high quality regeneration benchmark to Kings Cross. The installation of a ground breaking water feature incorporating over 1,000 jets animates the space and attracts visitors from a far. Feature steps and bleachers open up views to the canal, whilst semi mature tree planting in a formal grove offer a protected space for stopping.
Working alongside Townshend Landscape Architects to realise their concept, ALD were appointed by Argent / BAM Nuttal and had a strong site presence during construction to ensure a high level of detail with achieved. This project has revitilised King's Cross, creating a lively and diverse area of public realm.
