As founder of the business in 2002, Kym is involved in all aspects of practice life, responsible for strategic development of the business and overseeing corporate standards. She retains a ‘hands on’ approach as a designer, and a committed and dedicated Landscape Architect.

 

From masterplan, through design and into detailed delivery, Kym and the ALD team exhibit an exemplar attention to detail, as illustrated by the robust yet refined detailing at London 2012 Athlete’s Village and throughout Kings Cross. Alongside the ability to understand structural interfaces, loading constraints, logistical and phasing opportunities, with a particular niche for podium gardens, Kym retains a creative streak that ensures early stage design proposals are truly deliverable. It is these core principle of practical, build-able innovation that has driven ALD’s progress over our first 17 years and has shaped the skilled team valued by our clients.
